ISO 17100 is the new international standard that supersedes the European standard for translation services DIN EN 15038:2006. It defines the requirements, applicable worldwide, in terms of core processes, resources and other aspects necessary for the delivery of a high quality translation service.
As chairman of the DIN committee, Enrique López-Ebri again played a key role in the development of this new standard from the outset, and many of the quality aspects originate in the established and highly efficient work processes employed at LOPEZ-EBRI® Fachübersetzungen GmbH.

On 1 October 2015, LOPEZ-EBRI® was audited under this new standard by the independent certification institute DEKRA. The audit report states: "The staff adopt a highly customer-centred approach to their work. Translation projects are managed very professionally and with a strict focus on customer requirements."
On 17 October 2017 the DEKRA certification body conducted an ISO 17100:2015 audit at our company. The auditor’s report contained the following findings:
"From our discussion with the company’s management, it was clear to us that the company accords a very high priority to quality management. Procedures in the company are optimally organised, and are implemented under controlled conditions.
All translations are monitored using the dual-control principle.
The organisation’s quality management system is very professionally designed and is continuously improved and updated.”
